Social Work Done

Social studies carried out within the scope of sustainability throughout the facility are detailed. Our facility is a member of FETOB. We aim to contribute to issues concerning the local region by keeping in constant contact with FETOB and other tourism associations and non-governmental organizations.


Cultural Studies

Our facility is aware of the rich cultural heritage of the region and our country and strives to reflect this heritage to its guests. In addition to information about Fethiye on our website, activities that can be done are mentioned. Employees who are in one-on-one contact with the guest have been trained on regional culture and are provided with information when requested.


PURCHASING POLICY

As Alesta Midtown, unless there is a much better alternative in terms of price and quality standards of the products we prefer in product purchases;

  • In our business, attention is paid to the energy use type being A – D class in electrical device purchases.
  • In purchases made by our business, it is foreseen to use local suppliers primarily, and if there are significant price and quality differences between local suppliers and other suppliers, others are preferred.
  • Our business must pay attention to the products to be purchased being environmentally friendly and economical. Attention is paid to ensuring that all purchased products comply with quality standards. Quality, license and other necessary documents are requested from the supplier from whom the purchase is made (at the time of first purchase).
  • In purchases to be made for our business, concentrated, large-scale, large-packaged, recyclable and products that produce as little waste as possible are taken into consideration.
  • Products obtained from endangered species and prohibited animal products are not purchased for our business.
  • In air conditioning devices to be purchased by our business in future periods, devices using harmful gases such as R22 will not be preferred and it is foreseen to prefer devices that provide electricity savings of A, B and C class using environmentally friendly gas.
  • Equipment containing R22 has been included in the replacement plan taking into account legal replacement periods/depreciation lives.
  • Sustainably produced/sourced from sustainable sources, environmentally sustainable, Fair Trade/Organic/FSC/MSC, etc. products are preferred for our business.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY POLICY

As Alesta Midtown, we use our energy efficiently to protect our world from possible dangers and set goals to reduce our energy consumption. For this;

  • We follow national and international standards, laws and regulations to fulfill our responsibilities towards nature and legal obligations, voluntarily carry out studies to reduce energy use and/or continuously improve our energy consumption performance, and monitor the results of our studies.
  • We set goals and include energy efficiency in our training programs to ensure the participation of our employees.
  • We care about cooperating with all our stakeholders to create common goals and results in energy management. In these matters, we try to maintain our interaction with our guests, employees, visitors and all our business partners to reach a total awareness and consciousness level.
  • We try to research, find, purchase and use energy-efficient appropriate products, equipment, hardware and technology alternatives.
  • We aim to document our Energy Management System, spread it to all our departments, update, review and continuously improve it when necessary.
  • We evaluate emergencies that may arise such as energy risks or energy constraints and plan measures that can be taken.

ENVIRONMENT, WASTE MANAGEMENT and ZERO WASTE POLICY

As Alesta Midtown, we aim to leave a clean and healthy environment to future generations with a sustainable environmental understanding. In this context, we commit to fulfilling our responsibilities regarding waste management specified below.

  • To contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes related to the prevention of environmental pollution, protection of biodiversity and ecosystems,
  • To increase the use of renewable, clean energy,
  • To use our natural resources repeatedly,
  • To reduce water consumption,
  • To reduce waste at its source,
  • To ensure the separation and recovery of wastes with the zero waste principle,
  • To reduce chemical consumption and pesticide use, to prefer products that do not harm nature,
  • To reduce our environmental impacts and obtain new environmental opportunities by conducting effective risk analysis,
  • To expand the use of environmentally friendly products,
  • To act with a life cycle perspective during the creation and implementation of our processes,
  • To monitor our carbon footprint and reduce it in line with targets,
  • To carry out planned studies on reducing negative environmental impacts arising from emergencies,
  • To support our employees who will contribute to the effectiveness of the environmental/energy management system,
  • To provide training that will increase the awareness of employees on important environmental dimensions and impacts,
  • To make our Environmental Protection Activities a corporate culture,
  • To prioritize environmentally sustainable suppliers in supplier selections,
  • To ensure the fulfillment of our environmental compliance obligations,
  • To ensure the information and participation of all our relevant parties regarding our environmental activities and principles.
